N.O.R.M.S stands for Nurture Out-Reach Medical Services. We bring hospital-grade healthcare to your home in Chennai — physician visits, nursing, physiotherapy, equipment, and more, led by clinical judgment, not just staffing.
Dr. Avinash Rajkumar, founder and Head of Medical Operations, brings 20+ years in emergency medicine and critical care, and 15+ years specifically in home healthcare. Mrs. Divya Avinash, Co-Founder, leads all non-medical operations, making sure the experience runs smoothly for you and your family.
N.O.R.M.S was founded by a doctor who once faced this exact situation with his own grandmother, not started as a staffing business. Every care plan begins with clinical assessment, not a sales conversation, and we aim to keep the same care team with your family throughout, so you're never explaining your situation from scratch to someone new.

HCSP stands for Health Care Service Professional. Anyone from N.O.R.M.S providing hands-on care. We use three levels, matched to what your family member actually needs:
Medical Attendants — help with daily activities like feeding, bathing, and mobility
Basic Nursing — trained nurses who manage medication, and for more experienced staff, tube feeding and catheter care
ICU-Trained Nurses — experienced with ventilators, tracheostomy care, and advanced medical equipment
Every HCSP goes through a structured interview and skills assessment before we assign their care level. Your clinical coordinator will walk you through exactly who's being assigned and why, before care begins.
Yes, we aim to keep the same team assigned throughout your care, so you're not re-explaining the situation to someone new each visit. If your regular HCSP is unavailable, we arrange a suitable replacement promptly.
Experienced senior nurses who bridge the gap between nursing staff, patients, and doctors; they visit periodically to monitor progress, which reduces how often a full doctor visit is needed and helps manage cost.
Yes, for video consultations. Please book at least four days ahead.
Yes, any change in care level is reviewed and approved by the doctor overseeing the case, to make sure it's clinically right for the patient, not just a scheduling change.
It depends entirely on what your family member needs — we don't quote a flat rate, because a generic number wouldn't be honest. Costs are set after an in-person assessment and a conversation with your clinical coordinator.
An initial assessment, a conversation about your family's specific situation, and a signed consent form (sent to your email) before any medical services start.
Your caregiver will monitor your family member's condition, manage medications and rehabilitation steps, and stay in touch with the treating doctor to report progress — whether that's a few scheduled visits a day or round-the-clock presence.
Yes. Nursing and attendant coverage runs in 12-hour shifts with two staff members. Doctors are reachable by phone for urgent questions between scheduled visits.
Yes to both. Medicines are delivered at no extra service charge (discounts depend on the partner pharmacy), and lab tests through our certified lab partners are billed directly into your monthly N.O.R.M.S invoice, no separate charges.
Call ambulance services immediately. You can also reach our team, we'll try to get to you as fast as possible and coordinate with your treating doctor.
Doctor visits are usually scheduled, but if the situation calls for it, we'll arrange for the patient to be moved to a hospital quickly rather than waiting for a home visit.
Not directly but we coordinate closely with your primary hospital to arrange one when needed.
You can reach the doctor assigned to your case directly for medical questions. For anything logistical, our support team is on hand and will escalate to the office if needed. For further assistance, please contact us at +91 75501 01018
Choose whichever cycle suits you: weekly, monthly (calendar month or a custom 25th–24th cycle), or bi-monthly prepaid. Bills go to your email between the 1st and 5th each month; a hard copy can be couriered on request.
Cheque, bank transfer, or cash. For cash payments above ₹2 lakhs, we'll need your PAN, per Income Tax Department rules.
It's a refundable safeguard covering services and equipment, calculated against roughly 40 days of projected billing (one month plus a 10-day buffer for payment processing). It's adjusted into your final bill when services end.
No, please don't pay any HCSP or doctor directly. For one-time visits, our office will tell you the exact amount and send a receipt by email or courier.
Most Indian insurers don't currently cover home healthcare, but it's worth checking directly with your provider for domiciliary care coverage.
One week's written notice, except in the case of the patient's passing. Full terms are in the consent form you signed at the start.
It depends entirely on the medical situation and recovery. There's no fixed duration; we reassess as things progress.
