Dr. Avinash Rajkumar is the founder and Head of NORMS. He has 15 years experience in emergency medicine and critical care in addition to more than 12 years experience in home health care. Operational Head is Mrs. Divya Avinash who handles all non medical operations.

HCSP is short form for Health Care Service Professional. This includes all the personnel involved in providing health care service from NORMS.
Categorisation of HCSP refers to nursing. We have 3 levels of nursing care.
A) Medical Attendant – these people have no medical knowledge and are there to provide only physical support and help in activities of daily life.
B) Basic Nursing – these are diploma holders or ANM nurses who have basic medical knowledge and they can handle medications and also help in activities of daily life. Some senior nurses in this category can handle tube feeding and catheters.
C) ICU trained nurses – these nurses are diploma holders or ANM nurses with prior experience in ICU care of patient. These nurses can handle ventilation equipments, suction, tracheostomy, all other catheters, tube feeding and enteral medications.
NORMS office is situated at the address listed in the website. The office is only for backend work and accounts.
The amount varies from patient to patient as we have customized billing model. The amount would be indicated only after initial assessment and counseling by our clinical coordinator.

We provide a comprehensive solution for all health care needs at the home of the patient. Nursing, Attendent, Doctor visits, physiotherapy, complete range of medical equipments.
Doctor visit only as scheduled visits, in case of emergency or if the doctor feels that patient needs immediate medical attention, ambulance services will be called and patient would be shifted to hospital.
If services are terminated for any other cause other than death then the company needs atleast 1 week notice period for termination of services. Please refer to the general consent form which has the terms and conditions.
Home health care can include broad care given by skilled medical professionals, including skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Home health care can also include skilled, non-medical care, such as medical social services or assistance with daily living from a highly qualified home health aide.
The caregiver will keep a regular check on you to ensure you take your prescribed medicines and carryout your rehabilitation procedures (if any) regularly without disturbing your private space. The caregiver will also talk to your doctor about your care and keep your doctor updated about your progress. Above all, you should ensure you are comfortable with the caregiver, because unless otherwise there is good rapport between the caregiver and the patient, home healthcare can become painful. The care giver is going to be with you maybe throughout the day or meeting you frequently, please ensure you are comfortable and enjoy your time with them.
Home healthcare services is billed based on number of days the service has been provided. You can always check with your home healtcare provider on the payment procedure.

In general, the goal of home health care is to treat an illness or injury. You can contact the doctor who visits the patient directly for any medical doubts and you would also be given a set of contact numbers who would be taking care of your patient. They would handle all trouble shooting issues and if needed escalate it to the office.

Yes we do have specialist doctors who come for home visits. The appointment is fixed atleast 4 days in advance.
They are specialised senior nurses who act as a bridge for nursing and doctors. They make visits in between if needed to monitor the progress of the patient. This avoids very frequent doctor visits which escalates cost for the patient.
All HCSP are interviewed for their capabilities and skill. Based on which we provide the levels of nursing. These are explained during time of counseling by our clinical coordinators before starting the services.
We do arrange medicines but from a 3rd party pharmacy for which we do not charge any extra amount. It would be delivered to your home. We do not promise any discount on medicines and would be able to extend the discount only if the pharmacy extends a discount.
Yes we do provide lab services. We have a tie-up with Lister Metropolis Laboratories for all laboratory investigations. Their bill will be included in your monthly billing from NORMS. There is no extra cost for these bills, and only actuals will be charged. We would provide the copies of Lister bills along with the bills of NORMS.
Yes we do provide 24 hour services for nursing and attendant. They work in 12 hour shifts and 2 people would cover 24 hours.
Doctors visits are scheduled, however in case of emergency doubts doctors would respond to phone calls.
No, we do not cater to emergency calls and right now we do not have emergency ambulance services.
In case of ICU level of patient, our HCSP would be accompanying the patient from the hospital to home.
The Clinical coordinator/ Physician Assistant would be at the home to receive the patient.
Based on time of discharge the doctor visit is arranged the same day of discharge but they do not usually wait for the arrival of the patient.
Most of the doctors have completed Masters degree. Only few doctors are Bachelors completed.
No we do not directly have ambulance services, but we do coordinate with your primary hospital for the ambulance in case of emergency.
Yes the same set of HCSP would continue services.
In case the HCSP is unable to report to duty, then our office would send replacement for the HCSP.
The alteration or changes of health care services and level of HCSP is to be decided only by the doctor who is in charge of the patient. In case you change any of the services without prior consultation with our team of doctors then we would send a letter of indication that we would not be able to take responsibility for the outcome or progress of the treatment of the patient.
Billing cycle is from 1st day of moth to the last day of the month. In case services are terminated in between then the last day of the services is taken up for billing.
Bills are sent to your email address between 1st and 5th of every month. If hard copy is required, it would be couriered to you along with the receipt of your payment once we receive your payment.
The payment can be done by cheque, bank transfers or cash. In case of cash and amount exceeds more than 2 lakhs PAN number has to be furnished as per rules if Dept. of Income Tax.
The deposit is a security deposit for all services and equipment provided for health care services provided at your home. it is a refundable deposit which is adjusted with the final bill at the time of termination of services.
Once all services and equipment are finalized for the patient, a projected bill is calculated for about 40 days, considering that 1 month of services is given and additional 10 days for the bill payment.
No payment should not paid directly to any of the HCSP including doctors. In case it is only one off visit by any of the HCSP, then the office would inform of the amount that is to be handed over to the HCSP. The receipt for the same will be sent to you by email or courier.
No at present insurance companies are not covering home health care. However it is best for you to check with your insurance company if they provide cover for domiciliary care.
The consent forms will have to be signed before initiating any medical services. The soft copy of the same will be delivered to your email address.
